Aly's areas of specialty include but are not limited to: bereavement/grief, end of life, anxiety, mood related disorders, addiction, and marital and family issues. Aly utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities focusing primarily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which enables clients to recognize their own skill set. Respecting that the therapeutic process can be a vulnerable experience, it is important to Aly that clients feel understood, appreciated and validated within each session. Aly additionally has experience with grief and death and dying in which she uses Motivational Interviewing techniques to empower clients with difficult and advancing medical conditions to gain insight into their life values/goals now, and in the future as things may progress with their medical condition. Through a non-directive and empathic therapeutic process, Aly works with clients to ensure that this is an environment in which they can feel empowered and motivated to fulfill their own potential.
