Angelina Colon, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Angelina is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor whose background includes working with children, adolescents, adults and families in both school and community mental health settings. Angelina received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Kean University and Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University, where she was inducted into Chi Sigma Iota, the National Honor Society for Counseling Students and Professionals.

Angelina specializes in working with adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood changes, adjustment difficulties, and family stressors. She also has experience working with clients at an inpatient level of care. Angelina’s approach to counseling draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with evidence-based techniques. Angelina takes a person-centered approach to therapy and a collaborative relationship to formulate realistic goals with accessible strategies that the individual client can apply in their life. Angelina strives to provide a level of comfort to client in order to share thoughts and feelings.
