Licensed Associate Counselor

Samantha is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and a National Certified Counselor whose background includes working with children, adolescents, parents, families and adults within both intensive in-home therapy and intensive outpatient settings. Samantha earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology as well as her Master of Science Degree from Monmouth University, where she was inducted into Chi Sigma Iota, the National Honor Society for Counseling Students and Professionals. Samantha specializes in working with numerous populations struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, personality/mood/thought disorders, grief, and relationship issues. Samantha’s approach to counseling draws from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy and dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT) along with evidence-based techniques. Samantha maintains a client-centered approach to therapy through establishing a genuine and congruent relationship with her clients to formulate realistic goals. She creates a warm and nurturing environment for clients in providing healthy support and opportunities to process the difficulties that brought them to therapy.
