Healing begins when we become mindful about the feelings within us and feel heard. Counseling can be used as a resource to identify those emotions, whether it be anxiety, panic, grief/loss, overwhelmed, angry, guilt, sadness, lost, defeated, confused. We will focus on the root cause to those feelings, by gently uncovering the layers that hold those feelings in and keep you from being your best self. I love taking a holistic approach to work and life, and my passion is to help each individual to reconnect to one’s body and the outside world we live in. In counseling, I focus a lot on self-care and what that means to each individual. I focus on our basic needs of nutrition, sleep and physical activity in whatever big or small steps the client can manage so we begin with the healing from the inside first. We will discuss ways of prioritizing yourself, and taking the steps needed to calm your mind and get back to finding joy in life again.
