Susan Marano, LSW
Licensed Social Worker (Clinical License Pending)
I am a Licensed Social Worker with experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I received my Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University. When working with clients, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, strength-based perspective and cognitive restructuring to achieve treatment goals, beginning with short-term and leading to long-term. My areas of specialty include but are not limited to: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Addictions, Eating Disorders, Bipolar, Grief & Loss, Divorce, Codependency, Relationship/Family Conflict, Anger Management, Developmental Disorders, LGBTQ+Issues, Psychosomatic Related Issues, and much more. I consider myself a Person Centered Therapist to assist my clients in achieving a greater agreement between the client's idea and actual selves, better understanding and awareness of self and others, decreased defensiveness, insecurity, and guilt as well as a greater trust in oneself. My goal is to create a safe space where client's feel accepted, comforted with a complete lack of judgement in order to succeed through the treatment process.
