Licensed Associate Counselor

Background. I started my higher education journey at Brookdale Community College where I graduated with an associate’s degree in Psychology. I then transferred to Rutgers University where I completed my bachelor's degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice. I now hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Credentials and Licensing. I am currently a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) certification from the State of NJ. I am under the supervision of Stephanie DiZenzo-Priestley, LPC, ACS.

Areas of passion and specialty. I welcome clients of all ages with a wide range of presenting concerns. I have had the privilege of working with individuals from various stages of life, encompassing early childhood, adolescence, and middle/late adulthood. I’ve had prior experiences in outpatient settings, as well as working with adolescents and adults who suffer from substance use disorder in a partial hospitalization program.

Approach. I consider the therapeutic relationship to be a collaborative one between the counselor and the client. I firmly believe that clients are the expert of their own unique experiences, therefore, I provide support by catering to their individual needs. The therapeutic modalities I have used in the past include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Play/Art Therapy, and Strengths Based Therapy. My areas of focus include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, stress management, trauma, addiction, and life transitions. I create a safe space for clients, one that is empathetic, empowering, and non-judgmental.

Fun Facts. I love engaging in self-expressive activities like journaling, creating art, and cooking. Antiquing is one of my favorite hobbies. I’m a plant mom who enjoys all things true crime.
