Background. I graduated with my Masters in clinical social work from Samford University. I’ve worked and interned in a hospital Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), as well as in the non-profit sector, and have experience working with both teens and adults.
Credentials and Licensing. I’m currently a Licensed Social Worker in New Jersey, and am working towards my LCSW under the supervision of Shaina Davis, LCSW-S, LCADC.
Areas of passion and specialty. Recovery and addiction, panic disorders, anxiety, and faith/spirituality-based counseling.
Approach. I start by creating a space where my clients can feel comfortable and supported, free to look at the “big picture” of their life. Once that happens, I help them plan and manage the heavy-lifting of change. Rather than adopting a single methodology for all individuals and experiences, I draw from a variety of methods - including Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavior Therapies, Motivational Interviewing techniques, and others - to create a personalized and thoughtful approach.
