Background. I have a Masters Degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Credentials and Licensing. I currently am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I am currently under the supervision of Pamela Sypniewski, LPC, LCADC, ACS.
Areas of passion and specialty. I enjoy working with all populations and have experience working with children, adults, and couples. I have worked with a variety of clients in different settings including substance use, outpatient and (adult and adolescent) PHP/IOP.
Approach. I utilize an eclectic approach and tend to tailor my skills to fit the needs of the specific client. I utilize motivational interviewing, mindfulness, solution-focused practice and CBT/DBT to help clients identify their strengths and abilities to solve problems and achieve their goals. I additionally utilize individual talk therapy with adolescents and young adults using cognitive, humanistic, mind and body and behavioral styles.
Fun Facts. I love animals, hiking, kayaking camping, traveling, making pottery, gardening and tropical plants.
