Background. I have worked in a variety of mental health settings and levels of care including group homes, hospitals, the crisis hotline, and now private practice. I have experience working with children, adolescents, individuals, families and couples.
Credentials and Licensing. I am a Licensed Social Worker in the State of New Jersey (NJ) and working toward my LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker). I am currently under the supervision of Shaina Davis, LCSW, LCADC.
Areas of passion and specialty. I work with individuals who are have Developmental trauma, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, PTSD, life transitions, ADHD, and self esteem. I additionally work with couples and families.
Approach. I utilize an eclectic approach when providing therapeutic services to meet the needs of every individual client. I strive to create a safe space for my clients to feel comfortable stepping into a more vulnerable part of themselves. I understand that therapy can seem daunting for most, so it is important to me that each client feels heard, validated, supported, and respected throughout my work with them. By empowering my clients, I hope to guide them into seeing their own resilience and ability to overcome every obstacle that falls in their way. I utilize a variety of modalities including but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Attachment Based Behavioral Therapy (BT), and Person- Centered Therapy.
