Background. I earned my BA in Psychology at Montclair State University. To follow, I attended Rutgers University to earn my Masters of Social Work. I was a part of the Addiction Counselor Training Certificate Program and upon graduation I received an award for Outstanding Student in the Clinical Specialization.
Credentials and Licensing. I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the State of New Jersey and under the supervision of Shaina Davis, LCSW, LCADC. I currently am working towards my LCADC as well. Additionally, I am an approved telehealth provider in Florida.
Areas of passion and specialty. Much of my experience has been working with Clients struggling with Substance Abuse as well Mental Health Disorders. I have experience working with individuals who struggle with Gambling Disorders. I understand that the individual comes first but it is my goal to work to see the Client with the Systems Approach. Areas of Expertise include: Trauma, Anxiety, Panic Disorders, Depression, Adjustment Disorders, Gambling Disorders, Addictions, and Stress Management.
Approach. I utilize Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Solutions Focused Approach in combination with a variety of other clinical approaches and practices. I feel that it is most important to work in collaboration with my Clients and work at their pace to keep them in the driver's seat towards healing.
