Background. I completed my undergraduate degree at Monmouth University majoring in Psychology. I went on to complete my Masters Degree in Social Work at Fordham University in New York City, specializing in clinical therapies within Children and Families. Throughout my education I had the privilege of taking courses in the UK studying human rights and social justice.
Credentials and Licensing. I am a Licensed Social Worker in the State of New Jersey (NJ) and working toward my LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker). I am currently under the supervision of Shaina Davis, LCSW, LCADC.
Areas of passion and specialty. I have experience working in the medical and clinical fields, as well as inpatient psych, with populations ranging from young children to geriatrics. The bulk of my clinical exposure has been with young adults and adolescents.
Approach. My goal is to provide a comforting space for you to share your feelings and experiences while encouraging you throughout your therapeutic journey. I am passionate about working with individuals struggling in their daily life - whether it be depression, anxiety, panic attacks, life change, trauma, or a new medical diagnosis. Making the decision to come to therapy is not always easy but I can promise you will never be alone. During our time together as your therapist, you can rely on me to be validating, open minded, and empathetic to your situation. No problem is the same, therefore not every client will benefit from the same methodology of treatment. In my work, I rely on various forms of therapy - including but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Psycho-Therapy and Art Therapy.
