Background. I earned my BA in Psychology at Montclair State University. To follow, I attended Rutgers University to earn my Masters of Social Work. I was a part of the Addiction Counselor Training Certificate Program and upon graduation I received an award for Outstanding Student in the Clinical Specialization.
Credentials and Licensing. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licenced Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) in the State of New Jersey as well as an approved Telehealth provider in Florida. Additionally I am a Certified Professional by the American Heart Association in Tobacco Treatment. This certification highlights my dedication to following the most up-to-date, research-based guidelines for Tobacco Treatment to ensure my patients receive the best care possible.
Areas of passion and specialty. Much of my experience has been working with Clients struggling with Substance Abuse as well Mental Health Disorders. I have experience working with individuals who struggle with process addictions. I understand that the individual comes first but it is my goal to work to see Clients within the Systems Approach. Areas of Expertise include: Addiction, Anxiety, Panic Disorders, Depression, Adjustment Disorders, Gambling Disorders, Relationship challenges and Stress Management.
Approach. I utilize Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance Commitment Therapy in my approach integrating these with a range of other evidence-based clinical practices. I prioritize a collaborative therapeutic relationship working at the Client's pace to empower them in leading their own healing journey.
