PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Background. I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 16 years of nursing experience working with adults and children across a variety of settings. I began my career supporting unhoused individuals with serious and persistent mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders. I have also worked in hospital settings supporting individuals with chronic health conditions and transitions in care.
Credentials and Licensing. I am an RN, MSN, APN, and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I earned my Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from La Salle University. I also hold an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from the Community College of Philadelphia and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Temple University.
Areas of passion and specialty. I enjoy working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. Everyone has a story to tell, and I want to hear yours. I am passionate about helping people feel more at home in their minds and bodies and creating a space where no one feels they have to navigate their journey alone.
Approach. My approach is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and centered on creating a supportive space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. I value the time and trust you bring to our work together and strive to offer that same respect in return. Depending on your needs, I may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, and group therapy.
